Challenge Gift for Wheelock Giving Day

Wheelock Giving DayFor our second annual Wheelock Giving Day, we are thrilled that two generous supporters will once again give an additional $50,000 when 500 people make a gift on March 30, 2017! This challenge gift is an amazing opportunity for the Wheelock community, and it shows how we can inspire the action of others when we come together as a community to support the College.

Challenge or matching gifts have made a big difference in the course of Wheelock’s history, and recently they have had a big impact on the College’s ability to provide student scholarships. Recently, the Alumni Association Board helped to endow the Susan M. Mackey ’94 Scholarship Fund with a matching gift, and last year we successfully gained a $50,000 challenge for our first Giving Day, providing additional funds for student scholarships.

On Giving Day, the impact of your gift — no matter its size — is even bigger than on any other day this year because you can play a role in ensuring that Wheelock receives enough additional funding to provide a full tuition scholarship for a whole year. That makes an enormous difference in creating an engaged community with a wealth of perspectives.

By joining Wheelock community members around the world in making a gift on March 30, you will help the College successfully move further into our second century of improving the lives of children and families.
