The Impact of Giving Back: Wheelock Giving Day 2017

“The more we give to a cause, the more precious the cause becomes.” – Lucy Wheelock

Last spring, Wheelock held its first annual 24-hour fundraising drive – Wheelock Giving Day. Together, we celebrated what it means to be part of one community, and over 400 alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the College made a gift on March 30. This success is one that we can all be proud of because it demonstrates our strength as a community coming together to play a part in creating the future we want to see.

This year, we look forward to holding our second Wheelock Giving Day on March 30, 2017, and we invite everyone to support the College by making a gift and sharing what Wheelock means to you. Participating in Giving Day is taking action to shape Wheelock’s future. When we all give, even the smallest gifts add up to make a significant difference. More importantly, when we come together, we inspire the generosity of others.

Your participation on Giving Day will make a big difference, because when 500 people give a gift on March 30, Wheelock will receive an additional $50,000 from two generous donors. Collectively, we believe in the importance of diversity, inclusion, and access to exemplary education. As we move forward with these core values, it is imperative that we continue to work together to build a strong tradition of philanthropy and action.

We are also looking for volunteers to help build excitement and engage our community during Giving Day. If you are interested in becoming an online or on-campus ambassador for Wheelock Giving Day, please email Emilia in Development and Alumni Relations at esalazar@wheelock.edu.

Thank you for all you do to make the world a brighter place.
