You are invited to register for the STEM Activity App – 10 weeks of family STEM activities beginning October 15th.
Barbara Joseph, Online Solutions Project Manager for the Aspire Institute and two-time recipient of the Silvia Earl Innovation Award, spearheaded the launch of this new web application designed to engage families of 3rd-5th graders in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Participants will receive three STEM activities a week that engage adults and students in fun, thought-provoking activities around the home.
“We want to show that STEM is everywhere,” Joseph said, “in all aspects of life, and accessible to everyone.”
Joseph is piloting this new app in three Boston schools: Sacred Heart School in Roslindale, St. Columbkille Partnership School in Brighton, and Mission Hill School in Jamaica Plain. While Joseph and her team will be evaluating STEM interest within these three schools, she hopes anyone interested in STEM will sign up for these activities to learn more about the many wonderful applications of STEM in everyday life.
