Karen Worth has been teaching courses in elementary education and science education for both pre-service and in-service teachers at the graduate and undergraduate levels at Wheelock College for over 40 years. She has done extensive development work in science education. A current focus is developing teacher skills in the use of language in science as a critical tool for scientific reasoning.
Wheelock professors come from the fields they are teaching in, and they share both the knowledge and the realities with their students. This combination of in the classroom and in the field really prepares Wheelock students for the challenges they face after graduation. Because of Wheelock College’s more than 125 years of innovation in teacher education, our faculty feel that coming to Wheelock is coming to the top education institution.
