Global Perspectives for an American Audience

While our inaugural conference is under way, we wanted to pass along this message from one of our media sponsors, WGBH Boston.

This week, with support from our media partner WGBH, we kicked off the inaugural Wheelock College Global Challenges Conference to advance an important conversation about the global challenges and opportunities that impact education, health and human rights. Every day at 3pm and 8pm on 89.7 WGBH, Boston Public Radio, PRI’s The World explores those topics, and more.

Produced in Boston and hosted by Marco Werman, PRI’s The World looks at the most important global events and shares interviews, analysis and voices from people beyond our borders to provide a daily snapshot of our rapidly changing world.

PRI’s The World, a co-production of WGBH, Public Radio International and the BBC, offers unparalleled perspective on the substantive, timely topics many of our panelists, speakers and presenters will discuss this week. Monica Campbell’s regular Global Nation segment examines the cultural, political and demographic shifts in an increasingly diverse and global America. And each Monday and Thursday throughout the summer, environmental editor Peter Thomson’s segment, What’s for Lunch will share reports from five continents on the food we eat and the impact our diets have on climate change.

As you enjoy the conference, or follow along on the web, let PRI’s The World add to the experience. Tune in weekdays at 3pm and 8pm on 89.7 WGBH, Boston Public Radio or online at www.theworld.org.
