VIDEO: Prostitution, Trafficking, Human Rights: Wheelock Global Challenges Conference


In June 2013, prominent experts, survivors, advocates, and legislators committed to ending prostitution and sex trafficking gathered at the Wheelock College Global Challenges Conference. Panelists included Wheelock College Chair and Professor of American Studies, Gail Dines, and Norma Ramos, Executive Director of the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women. Wheelock College American Studies Instructor Dana Bialer explains that it is important to realize that porn culture has become immersed in our everyday culture and how that affects our lives on a day to day basis. Founder and Executive Director of More to Life, Inc., Brook Bello brings awareness to “baby farms” that are popping up around the world where women are raped, impregnated, and their babies sold into slavery.
