The Wheelock College Social Work program is one, giant family – just ask Class of 2014 graduate Emily Archambault. Emily confidently says she did the best thing for herself, both professionally and educationally, when she made the decision to come to Wheelock. She recognizes that a degree from Wheelock has a very positive and distinct reputation; our students are given the tools to be resilient, professional, and compassionate in the classroom and in their careers. Emily knows that helping people is a life-changing experience and Wheelock offers many different outlets to enter the serving professions.

“You’re not going to find a more close-knit, more passionate, unified and focused group of people and educators anywhere else”

Social workers are committed to the alleviation of poverty and oppression, the promotion of human rights and social justice, and the development of individuals, families, groups, and communities.  At Wheelock, you will study theories and methods of the social work profession and learn how to apply this knowledge through hands-on experience. Our program incorporates many different subject areas, including psychology, sociology, and human development.
