Meet the Recipients of the Sylvia Earl Innovation Award

Wheelock College aspires to be an innovator in the field of education, a goal the institution has held dear since its founding in 1888 by early childhood education pioneer Lucy Wheelock. Two of the Colleges’s proudest recent achievements in this area are creation of the Earl Center for Learning and Innovation and the Sylvia Earl Innovation Award. The annual Earl Award provides funds to students, faculty, and staff for innovative projects that improve the overall community. In this video, learn about the varied winning proposals, including a proposal to increase the use of video as a classroom tool, creation of a paperless Writing Center, installation of a rooftop bee colony, development of a STEM app for young students, and many others.
