Twenty-one students finished three years of course and field work and had their degrees conferred on August 19, 2016.

The event was marked by a gathering for refreshments at a local Worcester restaurant after the students’ final class on August 9th. Students, faculty and staff enjoyed some festive time together. A brief program was held, emceed by Jim Bourque, retiring Site Coordinator. Hope Haslam Straughan Ph.D., Association Dean of Wheelock’s School of Social Work, Leadership, and Policy congratulated the group and brought the best wishes of David Chard, Ph.D., the College’s new President. Student speaker, Merri James Marum, highlighted the cohort’s time together, thanked faculty and staff, and very generously presented Jim with two tickets to a Red Sox game.

Wheelock College is pleased to announce that a 5th Cohort of 18 students will begin work towards an MSW under the guidance of incoming site coordinator Susan Yi-Millette in the 2016 Fall Semester.
